Loving our bodies is its own
form of grace. May God free us from the constant cycle of disliking our bodies
and then struggling to improve them and then becoming dissatisfied once again. We
seek acceptance of our bodies’ limitations, letting go of all the criticisms we
may have of our appearances and our physical abilities. We will choose to love
our bodies for allowing us to interact with God’s world. May we recognize that
loving our bodies does not mean vanity but means accepting God’s grace towards
our own humanity and accepting God’s gift of life.
