March 10: Appreciating the Gift of Music

We recognize that God often sends us grace through music. So we take this time to appreciate one of God’s most special gifts. We give thanks for music that inspires peace and introspection. We thank God for those who create musical offerings for our community. May our worship be blessed with the spiritual power of music-making. May God continue to infuse our daily lives with the melodies that nurture and transform us.

October 3: Exploration of Creative Passions and Pursuits

In the name of practicality and production, we often neglect creative passions and pursuits. But we recognize art and music as gifts from God. May we disregard profit and praise and instead learn to appreciate the act of creation itself. May artistic expression offer a respite from a hectic and critical world. We ask God to give us the courage and patience to explore different means of creation. In turn, may we use our creative pursuits to honor and glorify God.
